I'm a little new on here, so bear with me please. I wanted to tell y'all about this company that i'm working with because so far they're really helped me (of course any career advice y'all could offer would help as well).
Anyway, I'm a public relations specialist who has recently been out of work (wonderful economy....). A friend referred me to this company: The Creative Group. Apparently they're a staffing agency who focuses only on the specialized field of marketing & advertising. Anyway, all I had to do was fill out this form online to register, which was free, then they matched me up with a job. Of course it was only temporary (now i'm back to unemployed), but they're continuing to search for work for me. AND, my friend's contracted position through them turned into a hire full time.
So, yeah. It was a LIFESAVER!! It's tough because those of us in this industry with a real talent get lost on occassion because of companies not understanding that yeah, we're a luxury to have, but still, a VERY strong necessity. So, it's been my experience that any job tips you can share with your peers, are always a good thing! So, yeah. Check it out. Hopefully they can help those of you who are feelin these lay-offs and such like I am.
