Bench marking is the question, really...
I was thrown in at the deep end 2 weeks ago to set up the affiliate system for us. Whilst I get new affiliates signed up (84 in a week), more important - affiliates who promote (53) - there seems to be no bench mark of 'how many should you get in a week/month/year'? Or how many are 'active' vs. 'register and nothing'.
I appreciate that every product or service is different, and our's is certainly 'unique' - but how do I know what falls under success/failure/etc...
For everything else there is always a 'ratio' - CPA, CLT, CPI, whatever - but I can't find anything anywhere regarding affiliates.
Any ideas? Or has someone got a 'formula' I can use and go back to my boss and say: "That's the average - we are % here/there"
Thanks in advance for any comments.
