AOL CAPTCHA recognizer released

Just a few days ago Network Security Research group released software which recognizes AOL CAPTCHAs! This event somehow escaped notice here.
Only a few months ago the same group released Yahoo! CAPTCHA recognition engine which attracted public attention. It was slashdotted here
And now it's AOL turn. And what? Nothing. Quiet and peaceful. Conspiracy, how do think? ;-)
Until they find their blog may be we should use this engine to advertise this forum on AOL services? ;-)

This sound rather dodgy, why would anyone who is not a spammer want AOL or any other CAPTCHA recognition software?
