Anyone tried making a micro-niche site for something like card balance guides?

I’ve been messing around with this idea of making a tiny site about really specific finance stuff… like how to check prepaid card balances or quick “how-to” guides for small money tools. it seems like not many people are doing this, so I’m wondering if it actually gets traffic or if it’s a waste of time.

Has anyone here done something like that before?
Did it actually bring in visitors?
What worked for monetization — ads, affiliate links, or something else?
Do you think it’s better to stick to just one tiny topic, or try a few similar ones together?

I’m just trying to figure out if it’s worth putting more time into it. Would be cool to hear how others approached this kind of micro-niche. .

I don't know what this guy's endgame is.
I do know he's not the bank. It says so at the bottom of his website.
I also know he's hiding behind cloudflare, because this is involving financial services I find that highly suspicious.

He could be showing GEO segmented advertising. My IP is US so maybe that's why I see no ads?

The idea is solid — these kinds of micro-guides actually do well with SEO traffic. But it’s not a “quick win” thing — it grows slowly. I’d start with one narrow topic, see what performs, and then expand from there. Monetization usually isn’t from ads, but from affiliate links or services.
