Any feedback/advice on SEO/gaining traffic for my portfolio?

I only recent realized how important SEO and gaining new traffic is, I've tried reading a few resources here although I've not really got that much time or money to put into paid ads etc. So anybody got any advice on cheap/efficient ways of gaining traffic or better search ratings that a newbie like me can put into practice?

You can(and should) use Social Networks,you say you're already implementing it on Reddit,Tumblr & FaceBook,so just keep expanding,Video Marketing,Article Marketing,Forum Participation(go figure...),Banners,Blog Commenting,just some ideas,all for free,but of course,it's entirely up to you.

By the way,that site you mention looks really nice!

You can try social media, forums, and related blogs for extra traffic and backlinks.

Also, use youtube. people are more likely to respond to videos.
