Am I in the right place?

I'm not sure if I'm in the right place. I've recently set up a new online business selling online writing services. I am currently in the process of marketing it.

I'm new at all this and certainly could do with a LOT of pointers. Any and all help would be gratefully accepted.

Thanks so much. I've already found loads of really useful bits and bobs. I'm taking action on some of them right now (not RIGHT now in this post, obviously!!)

The thing is I have a service rather than a product... A service that would benefit members here. I don't want to contravene site rules because there's so much useful stuff here so I'm being careful. Is there anywhere we ARE allowed to share out services?

Thanks for being careful about our rules.

You can only promote in your sig and then after you are a member for 30 days and have over 10 posts you can post an ad down in ads and offers toward the bottom of the forum.

We really try hard to keep the forum helpful and discussion oriented and keep the ads to a minimum, but advertising in your sig is fine.
