Dear anyone who knows

I'm pretty new to this and have a new domain, am I stuck in google sandbox and if so will my current course of action ( building back links daily and improving content ) ensure that I escape from this trap ??

Thanks for reading.

How old is your domain? How long has your site been online? How exactly are you "building back links daily" and are those incoming links relevant to your site content?

Domain is 1 month old, just building back links from blog and forum commenting so far, I've got about 6 methods to work through but I'm spending 2 weeks on each method before moving onto the next one, and unfortunately the incoming links are not relevant so far but I'm still searching for relevant do-follow blogs and forums.

Re-checked my site earlier and I'm on page 4 of google so I guess I'm not sandboxed after all, I'm going to keep doing 20-30 links per day and improving content.

Then it's far too early to start worrying or expecting page 1 rankings.

Bear in mind that most of those are probably nofollow so they're not going to help your rankings much.

So again those links aren't going to help you a whole lot.

I'm going to keep doing 20-30 links per day and improving content.

That's too much too fast. Doesn't look natural for a new site.

Thanks for the fast reply Minstrel, great info as usual

How many links do you recommend per day?, I've been reading around and opinions vary extremely

Build links slowly, just a few a day, and be patient. Look at the long term from the start. If you want to target your new site for attention from Google so that it languishes in the sandbox for months, acquiring a lot of incoming links quickly will do that, especially when they're not related to your content.

Sites that acquire links organically do so slowly and gradually, one or two here, another one or two there, over a period of months. Sudden surges in linking with no obvious reason just gets you flagged for "artificial link building" as Google calls it, and you really don't want that kind of scrutiny.

Thanks again Minstrel, I'll slow my link building down accordingly and focus on more relevant links.

Just checked my position in google and I'm in the top spot, just below amazon, I'm guessing I've got a bit more google dancing to do so I won't get to chuffed with myself yet!

I need to get this Amazon Link Localizer installed in case I miss out on sales, thanks for the Info.

Indeed. Longterm strategies is must in order to keep rankings organically. SEO is a patience game and requires alot of dedication. The rewards are well worth it for those who build with in the guidlines.
