If you want to grow your affiliate program, you need to know the best ways to find affiliates. You also need to know what their hot buttons are and what turns them off! No better place to get the data than the 2009 Affstat Report which is available for free today.

I got a preview from Shawn last night and grabbed one of the charts that will be of interest to affiliate managers. This one shows a breakdown of how affiliates find out about new affiliate programs. The top 5 ways, in survey results order, are: affiliate directories - direct contact from the affiliate manager - Google searches - the affiliate manager is active on forums - affiliate manager blogs.

The report features dozens of charts of data, based on the responses from 450 participating affiliates. It also includes candid complaints, ideas, suggestions or opinions affiliates have regarding affiliate marketing.

Additionally there is a glossary and a list of top affiliate forums and industry blogs. (Thanks Shawn for including the 5 Star forum and blog.)

GRAB the free Affstat Report right now. You'll be surprised at some of the info and amazed at how much data there is!

Hi Linda,

You said "GRAB the free Affstat Report right now. You'll be surprised at some of the info and amazed at how much data there is!"

Where can I grab it?

Now it may be possible that my eyes are decieving me, but it seems the links provided only take me to the homepage of Affstat. I do not see an option to download the report yet, as it seems they are still excepting affiliate surveys through February 28th. Now it could be that the lack of sleep I've gotten this week is catching up with me, but can anyone confirm where this report is located on Affstat?

In any event, thanks in advance Linda! This kind of data is fantastic and should be highly valuable to any affiliate manager trying to build their program. :D

Actually I think what happened is the report was only available for awhile and now he is trying to collect data for the next survey.

But let us know what you find out.

Good news everyone! I have heard back from Shawn and he provided a link where the report can be downloaded. I have already tested the link and it works. I am new to this forum so it wouldn't let me include the link here. Linda I am emailing it you now so you can post for everyone.

Report looks beautiful, so I encourage everyone to check it out as soon as you can.
Doesn't matter if you are a newbie or experienced AM, every Affiliate Manager old and new should be aware of these statistics in order to maximize effectiveness of your 2010 recruitment program. Enjoy! :D
