affiliate marketing + YouTube Thumbnails as feature images copywrite break?

I have a very large affiliate site. I know you're allowed to embed videos on your site without getting in trouble but if your using video thumbnails and profiting from your project as well. Is their any copy-write concerns I should be aware of? The thumbnails are obviously used as the featured image and stored on my server. I also have a DMCA notice. Does that even matter?

You shall not host any copyright content on your site and write a DMCA page to explain.

Does the DMCA I have protect me from the creator immediately taking me to court. My DMCA does say that you must contact me with your DMCA take down first. Implying that their is a process for "copywrite infringement" or else I can sue them.

Not askign for legal advice. I guess my real question is. Has anyone been hit with a DMCA takedown for using a large channels YT video and thumbnail?
