Advertising on Youtube Without Videos

I often see a banner or 2 on Youtube unrelated to the videos. For example, I often see video game banners when I watch the history channels or sports. What are the common banner sizes in this case?

Advertisers can now advertise their products without having to upload videos. This means that they can use text-based ads instead of video ads. They are able to do this by using the Google Display Network.

Nothing strange, as YouTube ads are actually being made via Google ads, so advertisers can choose whatever banner they want, and then algorithms themselves decide on which videos they will be shown, as there isn't full control when it comes to this.
