Hello everyone! I am not a beginner in web design and I've learned almost everything on my own, including JavaScript.
And I must say that codecademy is a great online tutorial for those who want to start coding from scratch. Additionally, it's free and easy to use!

I think the contrary. I never properly learnt coding because of the frustration of getting stuck with books. I absolutely agree that (good) books are comprehesive and ultimately better, but with Code Academy it's like plating a video game. Interactive, logical, intuitive, level by level ... it gives great solid base to THEN munch on a dense book.

Simply fantastic to get started
