10 tips you MUST know about Facebook Fanpages

In this guide I will list and point out the MUST know tips about posting on your Facebook Fanpages.

    Facebook Pages

1.Post good, interesting content for your fans
This is the most important aspect in getting free likes to your page. Remember that a good content can get viral, friends of friends of your fans will see your posts. The better the content is, the more shares, likes and fans you'll get. Also, if you don't do this, fans won't respond to your future updates, you won't attract others and you will lose your current ones.

2.Use facebook sponsoried stories and other Facebook paid ads
Why? Because it's a cheap and fast way to increase your audience. For a few bucks you'll get a few hundred likes which will be your potential lead generators. There are few ways to promote your fan page: Engagement ads(optimized to get more page likes), Promoted Posts(increase post visibility), Page Post ads(engage existing fans or bring new ones), Facebook offers(way to get the fans to external page).

3.Build your email list inside the fan page
This is the best way to monetize and benefit from Facebook fan pages. Instead of buying traffic from Facebook ads and direct them to an external page, direct it to the fan page on which you put a simple squeeze page(email services as Aweber and Mailchimp have special plugins). Internal Facebook traffic is much more cheaper and you can also send your existing fans(that you got from writing valuable content) to the squeeze page.

4.Grow your fan-base by liking others' posts and leaving helpful comments
You can choose to use facebook as a page owner from the settings link on the top panel, you'll see a small 'gear' icon. By using you account as a page owner you can leave comments on other pages and even like posts inside it. This will increase the visibility of your fanpage and will also increase your fan base and authority in the field.

5.Choose a good fan page name that describes your product/niche
Setting a good page name is a very important step you should take care of. Basically this is how people search for your page, that's why is recommended to include the main keywords that best describes the fanpage in the title.

6.Update your page often. You can use post scheduling services
Updating your page often with quality content is the key to maintain an engaging fan base and even to grow it. Using auto-post services like the one from Luke(http://www.affiliatefix.com/deals/) can keep a steady flow of content planned days or even weeks in advance.

7.Don't forget the “About” section and the Cover image
The About section is the place where you can link your website with the fanpage and get traffic. Write a few words about the fanpage and your website(if you have one) and link to it. Also, don't forget about the Cover image...it should describe what page is about and try to find a good looking/appealing image.

    8.Hold contests and giveaway prizes
I recommend using apps that offer this type of service exclusively like Binkd, Shortstack, Wildfire. You can search on google for more, but they also have free alternatives. However, if you want to do it yourself BE CAREFUL, you can't use contests like "the most shares, most likes or comments" otherwise you'll get your page banned, check the facebook rules for fanpages first.

9.Don't add links to your offer/product on any post. Do like 1/3-1/6
Many newbies make the mistake of adding links into any post description...WRONG! Not only that your users will see you as a spammer and won't convert, but you'll also have a high chance of getting you page banned.

10.Check you page insights regularly to see if you're doing it right
Page insights are very powerful like any tracking system. You can see your new fans, your engagement, lost fans and much more details which can help you make the right decisions about the promotion and engagement tactics.

It is 100% true! I did that mistake in the start...With spamming your fans you and your page will lose the credibility
