☕️ Do You Think Llms File Will Be Official Soon?

So I just read about having an llms file on your site.

It's basically a sitemap for AI.

"A proposal to standardise on using an llms file to provide information to help LLMs use a website at inference time."

It seems it's not an official thing yet but some people are still creating llms

I think it would be a good idea to have one in place for if/when it does become official.

Then again:

"Google has been saying that no one uses the LLMs file, that Google won't use it, that it can be useless, and you probably should noindex it if you do use it."

An llms file is basically a "please eat me last" sign on your website for the robots. Adorable.

Google won't use it, the other AI companies probably won't bother, and by the time it becomes "official" there will be a different format nobody reads either.

We're out here writing sitemaps for machines that hallucinate half the time. The machine doesn't need your roadmap. It's going to make up your content anyway.
