@flamingo you are 100% correct. Google Analytics is probably the most powerful tool out there. It does have a lot of bot filtering options, and can provide in-depth measurement of pretty much everything that happens on your site. Yet, when it comes to affiliate marketing, it's not a platform...
The ajax is a way to do it, you can also do it with google tag manager.
A simpler way to do it is to define in the tracker a cpc conversion goal which will fire to the traffic source the same way the lead or cpa conversion fires.
Not sure how other trackers handle this, but in Trackingdesk...
This email was sent to our customers this morning. If you've been using trackingdesk in the past or have an account with us, this notification is important.
We've been quite quite silent over the past couple of months as we've been working very hard to release this exclusive feature.
TL;DR -...
@Graybeard - thank you for the explanation;) it clarifies most of the question marks of the past 15 years;)
Again, we're not talking about a 2nd tier ad network ran out ouf some shady offshore juridicsion. We're talking about large corporations that can face class actions that can put them in...
@tyoussef this could be a never ending debate;)
I would perhaps agree when talking about 2 or 3rd tier ad networks, but billion dollar companies would take a huge liability risk by playing by those dirty games, as you only need a single wistle blower for the empire to collapse.
Also, keep in...
The complete list of outbrain parameters can be found here.
We have a direct integration with Outbrain, so postback is preset in our backend to fire when you activate the integration.
@tyoussef - there are many reasons to track conversions. One is to obviously track your campaign performances...
@John Wellow - we've had this feature for a while, and recently we added some functionalities to our organic tracking script which also capture the google analytics client id and inject tracking id into optin forms.
Depending on the type of campaigns you run - ex: adwords/bing - the integration...
@kingslandingArthur - this is the official trackingdesk thread, so its fair to say that Trackingdesk is the recommended tracking tool;)
Anything in particular you need to track?
Onsite tracking is not only about organic traffic @gnr5. For instance, when you run campaigns on adwords, you can't use a redirect URL due to the "parallel tracking" function, and facebook Open graph doesn't read too well redirect URL's, so it's always recommended to put a landing page URL in...
Tracking is one of the options for the redirect, but you might want to use a platform called unless.com which displays content according to all sorts of attributes, including GEO.
Hi Everyone - From time to time, this question shows up on the forum and everyone is rushing in to throw its 2cts (including myself) in order to shed some light on this innocent question.
As you might have seen in the past, my stance is normally the following:
The best tracking is the one...
@Graybeard - quick info.
the party receiving the URL call (postback or click) is setting the querystrings ex: utm_source=
the party sending value into the querystrings is defining the token into which they will send a value.
So Trackingdesk sending traffic to hasoffers links will send...
@Graybeard - apps and website behave differently, especially when it comes to attribution across devices. Keep in mind that the app itself will not carry the cookie from the browser and therefore, the pixel call might not work.
@Sebin Thomas - I highly recommend to using the native attribution...
hi @Alphawarrior - Your question isn't very clear.
Where do you want to show the conversion time?
On the landing page?
on the bemob reports?
send the conversion timestamp to the traffic source postback url?
Hi Everyone,
Affiliates working with AdWords know that they do not provide a postback URL, and instead allow you to manually upload your conversions through a CSV file.
Recently, they've added a feature to this workflow, which allows you to connect your google sheet account and schedule an...
Gents, if I may add something.
There is a feature called Autotagging, which tells Bing (or adwords for that matter) that your site / tracker accepts the standard utm parameters as well as the msclkid - which will allow you to upload your conversions back to Bing / Adwords via the offline...
Most app providers work with appsflyer, adjust, kochava and tune. Those should have native integrations with facebook SDK.
However, if you are just picking mobile offers form aff networks, then they should provide you with this type of info.
Note, however that facebook pixel is client based...
Hi @Graybeard - Thank you for the feedback. Much appreciated.
Unfortunately, I do not have such list and as you probably know, some affiliate programs, such as Amazon do not have any sort of postback / pixel tracking in place. Generally speaking, it is very rare these days to come across...
