Thank you minstrel! :D
As I understand it, article marketing is about establishing yourself as an expert in the field. If your article is poorly written, or does not make sense because you're just ramming in keywords, you're not doing that!
A lot of my clients have a formula for keywords...
Hi there,
I write SEO articles for a living, and I'd like to add a few tips to your list:
- Write for humans, and for search engines. If people don't read down to your link, because your article is drivel, you've wasted time and energy posting it!
- Try to be original - people are...
Hi there,
You could also try press releases... depending on what you're promoting, and how newsworthy it is!
Press releases are syndicated, and they're read by LOTS of people. They also have a bit more credibility than articles in some cases.
I'm from South Africa, and I uploaded a...
Just another thought here - if your article is really great, someone might just ask to add it to their site - in which case, you will have another link out there, from somewhere other than a article directory!
Sometimes, quality out weighs strategy.
One other thing - I assume you're already using facebook and other social media for marketing? If so, be sure to share the link to your articles with your facebook groups and friends - that way, more people will see them!
Hi Seika,
I am a freelance writer, and I work with lots of affiliates and other online business people.
While your strategy seems sound, what I do want to urge you to do is to make sure that the qualty of the articles you write is impeccable.
If they're not interesting, useful, and...
Hi there,
I work as a freelancer, and therefore get plenty of requests from people trying to drive traffic to their sites. Some of the things I've done are:
- Write marketing articles
- Write press releases
- Blog posting - not spam, but finding sites that relate to what you do, and...
Hi there,
I'm not sure I agree - research has shown that the average college student in the US does not look in the yellowpages for information - they start with Google!
It's definitely worth looking at online marketing for your company - maybe combined with an offline tactic? Run a...
Hi there,
As a professional freelancer, I do tons of these for my clients. I've even written an ebook on how to write ebooks lol. Here's what I do, step by step:
- Create a table of contents. I use word to do this, and create headings, subheadings and so on, that I will use for the TOC...
Hi Brandon,
I agree that SEO and keywords are important, but there's a balance that you need to find.
If no one reads far enough to click your link, your article is just taking up space!
Not to mention that search engines work best with a keyword density of 2-3%, so keyword stuffing...
Hi Linda,
No, actually, I am a freelance writer, although, since so many of my clients are affiliates, I am getting more and more interested in trying my hand at a little marketing myself! At least I won't have to pay for articles! :-P
Hi all,
I am new to the forum, and I'm not an affiliate, but I am a writer, and I do practically live on the web. In fact, I find out everything online!
What I've noticed, both in my profession as a writer, and as a web surfer, is that a lot of people tend to post sales-y, keyword dense...
Hi there,
I would like to introduce myself to all of you.
While I'm not an affiliate myself (yet) I do work for affiliates a lot, and I hope that I can learn more about what affiliates need, and maybe share some of my own knowledge in return.
Thanks for having me, and I'm looking...
