I am trying to follow the sitebuildit C-T-P-M process. I'm currently on the C-T-P part of it and will be for some time, but I can't help but think about the M. I'm kind of worried that when I do start monetizing the blog it could hurt my reputation, or turn off visitors.
Now I'm not talking...
Hi Spoerner, I am in the same situation as you, except that I am in my 20's. No one wants to hire new grads, they just want people with 5+ years experience. It seems like whatever you have they want the opposite. I'm not very successful yet, but I think the key is to stick to it no matter ...
How many articles and/or posts should a site have ready to go on launch day?
I was thinking about this the other day and my reasoning is that if you launch with too much content, you might have trouble producing more once the site is up. Why is that a problem? Because search engines like a...
I've been doing a lot of keyword research lately and I have noticed that many keyword phrases that I have researched also appear in different orders. Sometimes these different orderings of the key phrase out performs the original by a huge margin.
If I could use those key phrases in a title...
I recently launched a new Adwords campaign for a Squidoo page I made. I had a couple of bucks left in my account and thought what the heck, lets see if this works any better.
Here are my Keyword stats that I went by:
- I am targeting 4 long-tail keyword phrases - both the phrase and exact...
Wow, that is a very good answer and does address a lot of points! Thanks for taking the time to write it. The issue I am facing is with my new chosen niche (health related) there are a few products which I have tried that work reasonably well, so I thought why not write a full review of the...
The reason I ask is because I have a lot of interests in niches related to health and fitness and I would like to follow through on some of those niches, but I'm trying to come to terms with the ethics of promoting something purely from a marketers perspective of wanting to "cache in" versus...
It may sound stupid, but for some reason I am getting hung up over the scope of niche sites, and niche mini-sites. i.e How many articles / pages should someone strive for on their niche site? Stuff like that.
Thanks!
Thanks for the advice, I did take the "do first" attitude for my first two sites and it didn't turn out so great. I do admit that I have learned a ton of valuable information that probably wouldn't have stuck any other way.
Since posting I did find an SEO book and have gone through it, and...
If you guys could so kind, as to share your experience in how long it takes on average from the time you pick a niche, to the time you turn a profit, or pull the plug and move unto the next niche.
Say for example that you have done a lot of research and found a great niche and you decide to...
New sites are kind of thrown around all other the place. Sometimes Google gives you a little 2 week honeymoon, and ranks you number one for a lot of different keywords, then takes it all away. I think it is called "Google dance" or something like that.
I'm kind of struggling with SEO and ways to generate traffic, so I want to make an effort to really understand SEO and which techniques provide the best bang for the buck. I have googled around and read enough "top x SEO lists" that rehash the same things over and over, and I'm kind of put off...
Thanks Linda, I think I'm going to take that advice and test out the niche with a blog, and if successful, get some material on conducting an adwords campaign.
I have just finished reading through Rosalind Gardner's "Super Affiliate Handbook 2005" and some of the examples in there regarding PPC don't seem to be very feasible, considering the book was written almost 4 years ago.
One of the examples was in regards to PPC marketing and determining...
I run a few low traffic sites that contained Adsense ads, but recently my account was banned once I reached the minimum payout rate (5 years in the making :) ), so I think this is a great opportunity to explore the world of affiliate marketing.
My question is, have you guys had much success...
Has anyone tried paid directories? I'm tempted to try a few, but I'm not sure what kind of results to expect, if any. For people that have tried it, is it worth it? Thanks!
You really have to pick a niche that you are passionate about, otherwise you'll lose interest in it too quickly and stop short of generating some revenure for something you like to talk about.
I don't really buy into the argument "you need to know you niche", you're probably just as well off...
