Be very, very cautious. My alarm bells are ringing!
First up, hire the guy but don't go into partnership unless you have
* met him / her
* have a watertight legal agreement drawn up with exit clauses built in
I gather you're relying on the viral marketing effect to build up the inbound...
I'm from Auckland, New Zealand. A great place to live and the main place for jobs etc if you're in the IT industry and don't want to work on Government contracts ;)
Good for leisure and all that - sailing, golf, mountain biking, drinking and the winters are only a little bit cold - Sydney...
There's no clear answer on that and the search engines will take in other factors.
Example: On the evening before Bush (I think it was) announced his running partner in the last USA election the sign writers were busy putting the decals on the side of the plane. A guy who had been working on...
Totally agree. If she's crying from the reflux that isn't being "naughty" or "demanding" - that's a child who requires care. "Naughty" is when you go in the room and they chuckle at you want to be played with.
A friend had her daughter on some medication and was constantly maxxed out on the...
That's so true.
My Dad died at 46 from a massive heart attack - smoking was his only risk factor. I'm so sad that he never got to be a GrandPa (or to see us grow up).
Some smokers can "make old bones" but why take the risk?
My little boy used to climb into our bed and wriggle away and I'd let him. Then I went to Boston for a fortnight and on my return he was kicked out so quickly - I'd had 2 good weeks of jetlagged induced sleep and I loved it.
Part of getting the sleep is being tough and letting them cry. When...
I guess the difference is that you link out as necessary for your human visitors and you just don't worry about it - but you balance it with inbound links.
And review any links in comments thoroughly. I have a chap commenting on one post every day and pretty soon he'll be slapped but for now...
I'll be looking at the articles already posted here but you can beat me to it and submit your own articles and promotions (and make my life easier)

I have categories for
* affiliate programs
* forums
* articles - this may be tips and tricks etc rather...
Hi Ted
I had a look at your site and was wondering if you've experimented with a different format page for selling it.
Personally, and I may be cynical, but the moment I open a site with that format my internal spam alarm goes off and I kill the page.
Surely something like a blog...
You can view your logs but seriously, don't!
The number of bots who visit your site and the IP addresses they use will blow you away. Just let them come and don't worry about it.
To encourage googlebot to visit more often
Have a sitemap so it knows where the new content isupdate...
I'd be interested to see the evidence of harm caused by them.
I'm a staunch believer in anything that will help a search engine get a full appreciation of my sites. I have no evidence of it particularly helping though ;)
That said, I've moved my blog onto it's own domain and I've undergone...
dunno, but we've decriminalised prostitution down here and the stories that hit the newspapers about it make your hair curl. Old Billy knew what he was talking about!
Search engines (generally speaking) can't read javascript and given how hard it is for humans we shouldn't expect them to start doing so anytime soon.
So... no, a javascript feed won't serve any seo purpose.
Xml can be tricky but if it's RSS there are some really good free tools available...
Potentially, but I wouldn't expect that someone I have as a friend to have me as their friend.
Online friends build slowly (unless you're at MySpace) just like they do in real life.
I would say to retain your independance. I have a group of 22 "friends" on digg whose opinions I respect.
How I use this though, is to see what they're digging and that's my start point. Social networking is me wanting to read what they're reading. That's not the same as just digging their...
