More importat question is: What was the previous website on this domain? .You also must check the domain history - is it blacklisted? Or does it has any spam links?
It all depends on oyur budget. If you are a big real estate company and you can aquire a name like: House . com - go for it! You can't imagine how many people will visit this domain directly. On the other hand, if you are a small blog owner and spend the half of your budget on a domain name...
If you niche is competitive, there is no such thing as "quick rankings". The days of spam and keyword stuffing are gone and now you need to popularize your website slowly, using only trusted websites.
A good approach will be to use a local citation sites. Make sure you have your address listed on your site and then submit it to most popular UK citation sites, like Yelp, Yell, UK Cylex, Top Pages, Hot Frog, Scoot...
If you are building a website in long term, I don't advise you to usedo grey or black hat seo. I made this mistake in the past and lost a website which was earning a lot $$ every month.
IMO .com domains will always be the best choice, simply because they are the oldest and most trusted domains out there. Also they will become even more valuable in the future as most of the good onces are gone now.
Both - .com and .co.uk are good for UK market. Bare in mind that .co.uk is associated only with UK and if you decide to expand your website later on ( lets say on US market) , the UK domain will not work. So thats why .com domain is always the best choice.
I would say these nes TLD's are just waste of money. Each year a zillion of new TLD's are released but most of them are rubbish. IMO the only good domains are generic TLD's, such as .com , .net and country specific like: .co.uk ,.us ..
My favorite registrar is also NameCheap. GoDaddy has many discount coupons around the web, but on the next year, when you have renew, the prices are ridiculous ( and coupons doesn't work).
Hi Temi,

Attention: "role based name" email prefixes such as support, webmaster, info, contact, forum, service, affiliate, admin, traffic, partners, marketing, etc., for our member accounts are not permitted. They are acceptable for a vendor listing, but not for the member email. This is due to bulk email processors scrubbing them for delivery due to extremely high bounce rates. Please apply for membership using a personalized email prefix. Something like bob@xxxxx.com.
If we discover you signed up with a role based name we will give you only one message to change it. After 3 days your account will be removed if the email is not changed.
