I'm fairly new here but just found this forum page so wanted to say. ALready found the site of great use and learnt some good bits off it.

I know DMOZ takes a while to list once you have submitted so its not always an instant method. As its an open directory project, they are making no money off it and therefore no express submit options as far as I'm aware.
Use the SEO tools to research the site, check its linkbacks, page rank and etc. Probably worth doing a bit more work PR wise if its anything less that PR3
I think they are getting more popular and acceptable - phones4u, cash4gold etc are all reputable companies and people are realising domain names are harder to get so numbers for letters are now becoming more common.
I've just created my first directory. It's home computer user related and so is fairly specific. However I wanted to know the best methods to get submissions into to to build it up and get some good sites in there. Are there any tried and tested techniques?
