I still have so much to learn about this stuff. I have what I think is a simple question - not sure if this is the best place but I think it is linked to SE:
Our Inside pages have no PR (they used to, not sure what happened). Do you know why this occurs and if it matters?
kind regards
Stephanie
Hi, I received an email on Friday from what looks like a good Chinese company (europatech.com) informing me that a 'client' wants to buy the following BizFace names and use the keyword BizFace.
Because we have trademarked BizFace in the UK, any website that shows up BizFace that can be seen...
I have just received this message over on the BizFace forum. I will ask her to join you guys here, but just wondered if anyone has an answer in case:
Hi there. I've just discovered that my website is unviewable on a Mac. I'm afraid that yes I did create the site myself and I'm not a web...
Hope this isn't a really stupid question:
Is the page rank ‘inherited’ by a higher level forum folder.
For example all landings are redirected to www.bizface.co.uk/bizfaceforum from the domain root (now we have 301 working).
The domain root www.bizface.co.uk has a PR of 1 at the moment but...
Not sure whether this is the best place, but I have a problem that is probably quite simple to resolve, so here goes:
This is what I want to do.
I have a high bounce percentage from the vbadvanced Portal and want to bypass the root domain to go straight in the forums - where people who do...
Of the networking forums I have joined so far, ecademy seems to be the most successful, in terms of has a lot of members, seems very active. However they claim it is better to pay for the higher levels of membership to really gain benefit.
Has anyone joined this one and any experience of...
I have been trying to work out which is the best category to put our forum in on directories, and wonder if it works in a similar way to keywords in that it seems if you pick a more popular category you will get lost in the competition?
Clearly it has to be something relevant but our website...
Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere (though I did have a quick look) but I found this quite useful:
12 Things NOT to Do to Improve Your Site's Google Page Rank
What do others think? Is it good advice? Missing anything?
We are offering free classifieds on BizFace - BizFace Community
The offer will last at least another 6 months. Membership is growing and the site attracts quite a few visitors (have not checked the PR, but we are certainly getting more traffic - only started up in the summer).
The...
I am keen to make sure that people with sight problems can still view our forum, but noticed that the view 'change text size' option does not seem to work on most forums (including BizFace) whereas our Crosslight website it does work (but that is a more standard programmed website).
Anyone...
Hi all,
We are thinking of adding a comic strip in the fashion of a Manga to our website, or at least do a blogg with them - we have found one package 'Manga Studio 3.0 Debut' which looks okay, but I thought I would check here first if anyone has any ideas. I have someone here who draws great...
Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but we are just trying to decide whether we should pay for both google and yahoo ads for people trying to find business forums, for our bizface community?
Seems to me some people seem to prefer one to the other, so both might be a good idea.
Any...
Not sure if this is the right place to put this so apologies - but has anyone used (by joining) LinkedIn?
It was recommended to me at a session on online marketing I attended last week, but as soon as I joined it wanted to install a new version of Active X and check out my Outlook folders.
I...
Hi all,
Heard some talk about Digg and other social content buttons - I think I have to do something to add buttons so people can vote?
Any views on whether it is worth doing (and any clues about how easy or not this is?)
Cheers
Stephanie
A couple of the websites names we own have the .com versions parked - does anyone have an idea of whether it is worth trying to buy these and how much value they are. The .net ones are also parked and again I just don't know whether we should start negotiating...
has anyone good or bad...
Have read about a company called hypedrive, but considering that they are an Internet marketing company their site does not actually tell us very much:
http://www.hypedrive.com/index.php
They say they carry out an internet marketing campaign on your behalf.
Has anyone tried it? Is it...
Despite my past life as a systems engineer, I am leaving most of the vBulletin set up to my partner who is actually doing a brilliant job - but we are both scratching our heads about getting a welcome box onto the home page of our new bizface site - I hope this is not too broad a question. ...

I may be able to help others as I have many years experience moderating e-learning - just not as technically savvy ad most here - happy to help if I can though.
