    All depends on conversions - do your profits scale? Think of it this way - if you spend £44 a day how much will you be making back ... that's the only real way to judge if it's worthwhile.

    At a minimum: upto £1500 per panel - you'll need 2-3 + £1000 for a new water tank (if needed) + £1000 or so for plumbing and controls + labour Something like that.

    I'm just about to get Solar Hot Water panels installed ... you can follow progress @ my barn conversion site. The payoff period is now quite low (around five years) so worth looking into especially with rising fuel costs.
