Interesting, so the unrelated keywords method is geared towards scale and low cpc. Inevitably and I assume, some of those keywords would be targeting the right demographic and convert.

Thanks for sharing this. Great to hear of your success with this method, looking at the niche sweep and survey sites around, I would imagine that email marketing would yield the highest rates of return, given that sending an email is generally free lol.

Sweeps work, you've just got to target the right people with the right traffic source. There are lots of niche 'freebie' sites that get traffic through social, email, SEO and PPC. There's a certain demographic that loves this stuff.
