I'm a vB fan as well. Nothing compares to vBulletin. If you can afford it, then that's what you should go for. But if you'd rather not pay for it, go with SMF or myBB. I've got a phpBB3 forum and it's currently being spammed on like mad so I can't vouch for that one. But I'm not having any...
What forum software are you using? Make sure you use captcha or any other registration security tool. If you've got a vBulletin software then you might want to enable the Akismet plug in they have. It's really good and that's what I'm currently using for my forum. I've had no problems with...
I still feel you should try paying people to post. Just don't get people who are looking for easy money on forums. Get someone who knows their stuff. Place an ad on Craigslist or any other popular classifieds and you might get someone for the job. It'll probably cost more but it's money well...
I buy my photos on 123rf.com, the photos there are really good and they're a whole lot cheaper than many other places. When you sign up, you also get one credit free, which can be used to buy a small image (perfect size for blogs).
Boy don't I have a list for you guys today!:dance2: List your sites to the following web directories, for free (reciprocals not required but very much appreciated)! This offer is valid until the end of the year so make the most of it. :)
The following are human-edited directories, and as long...
I have about 10 free web directories, and 9 of them are quite new (less than a year). The reason I decided to have 9 more is because I only had 1 for a year and it has already paid for its renewal and hosting (and a few more). :)
If you're starting out, the directories should accept free...
Yup, I submit my sites to as many free web directories as possible. Especially to the directories that seem to approve my sites right away (I receive email confirmations).
The easiest way is to use a script and you can get the free ones or the ones available for a fee. There's the very popular Phpld, and then there's eSyndicat which is pretty good too.
But if you want to create your own directory, I suppose you'd have to know how to code a bit...
Most of my friends don't know much about PCs so if I ever find malware on my PC I'll have no choice but to get rid of it myself. My anti-virus usually does a good job, I don't remember encountering malware for about a year now. But in the past, when I'd encounter those really tough malwares...
"Illegal softwares" or do you mean pirated versions of legal softwares? :D They definitely could be the cause of your PC being problematic. Many of these hackers put malware on these cracked softwares before they distribute them.
I'm on Firefox 3 and I'm just lovin' it. ;) I think the Firefox developers are just awesome, they really come up with the best. I do use several add-ons on Firefox that I just wouldn't be able to live without.
I'm a hardcore Firefox user. ;) In fact, I think most webmasters are! Heheh...I do use IE sometimes, but I think I've only tried Opera once. It's pretty good.
Can't seem to find the link to your site anywhere so I don't really know what it is...the best thing to do is to do some DIY SEO. Might take some time but it'll all be worth it.
I love png! In fact, I set all my images to png even if they're not transparent. I can only imagine what people using the older browsers see :D. I don't like gif much because the quality doesn't seem to match png especially where transparency is concerned.
I'm sorry but I'll have to agree...
