    DMOZ Link Now Without Value?

    Submission to DMOZ isn't a bad idea. But you may never get accepted to the directory as some sections no longer get monitored, so if your site happens to fit into a category that is no longer monitored you'll be waiting a long long time.

    I really don't think it's that bad of a thing for Google to do. Look at Walmart, they give the best space to companies that pay them the most money, is this really any different. The best products (by the biggest companies) should still be primarily on top of the search.

    Writing an E-book is good for SEO purposes. But if you're planning on making a lot of money on it it is best to have a good stage to present it on (ie a niche website that is centered around the topic of your E-book).
