.xxx domain for porn sites

This is in the news again, I can't really see why porn webmasters would buy an optional .xxx domain and see their sites filtered en masse. What do you guys think about the idea?

I think the domain extension should be granted, if anything, it makes it easier to identify adult sites so that people interested in porn will have a fileld day and people who are against it would easily block it out besided, for domaiin name companies, that is another domain extension to sell
