Many professionals look for something less than .75 seconds. Google says they see 1.5 seconds as optimal.
On PC traffic, most content marketers, especially those with lots of vid's, are reporting under 2's works well before they see degradation in responses.
On mobile, definitely keep it under 1 second if possible and you should be able to reach .5 seconds for most mobile.
