What products do you use for the monetization of push traffic?

Buying push notifications became very popular after the launch in 2018. Who is still working with push traffic and what products do you use for it? Is it dating, casino, mobile content, sweepstakes or something else? What is your most positive experience? What are the best case studies?

I primarily used them back in 2013 thru 2016 on mobile for affiliate sales of coaching programs. Worked great for a while, but then got to be a nuisance for mobile users and started becoming a bit of a drag.

I think the desktop version was actually introduced around 2013. I know Google got in to the game in some way around then with their Firebase stuff, but didn't really push the envelope on it as other developers did in the following years.

since I'm not a mediabuyer anymore I don't work with driving traffic from the source to the offer. But tryly the best vertical that worked perfect for me 1,5-2 years ago was mainstream dating of all kinds - smartlinks, CC submitts, cams with CPL flow etc. I do remember times when T&C or creatives compliance were not that strict in most of well-known traffic sources, so I could buy big amounts of users and didn't worry about unexpected pause of my campaigns :)
Now I see that a the more affiliates drive push users to the nutra offers now

Oh really? I though most networks launched it back in 2018. You say it started becoming a drag. What did you experience, how did that show in your stats?

Yeah I can imagine, dating was hot! Why did you decide to stop media buying? Do you know that 2nd & 3rd tier are exploding?

Push was a name after a period of development. It started out as a form of a chat app and after several ownership changes was split into various forms which includes push. Push is nothing more than a permission based chat application. You can see it's roots go back to 2011 if you search Wiki for Firebase.

Because there were dozens of lawsuits filed by many states in the U.S. regarding privacy issues and when that happened, I quit.

It was never anything more that an exploratory opportunity for me. I did well, but it was not refined yet, limited to mobile at the time, and didn't have the features it has now, and had become embroiled in legal issues.

I'm a content marketer for the most part, but I venture out once in a while.

I was in house mediabuyer, that didn't bring much money to my wallet, then I started doing RTB and now I work for adult network as an RTB manager:) I did love managing in house traffic in my previous position, but there were a lot of miscomunications with top management so I had to quit

For some reason -- dating and swapping spit with strangers seems a poor choice in today's pandemic situation to me ... just sayin' :p
