What is difference between dynamic & static website ?

Dynamic - site pages change dependant on what the user enters. Pages are generated using scripting such as PHP or ASP which produces the final html on the fly. May also use a database such as mysql of sql server.

Static - Pages are always the same, no user input, pages created in HTML.

In which website the data or contents comes from data base and change frequently according to user request is a dynamic website, and the static website is in the form of HTML, the content of pages can not be change.

Anyone would think this guy is asking these questions just for the hell of it...

Look at his post history!

You can still produce dynamic pages without a database. The scripts could contain values that you use to produce a particular response to a user input. Here is an example of a dynamic page that does not use a database.

http://www.surreypcsupport.com/it-support-quote.php

On the above page a user enters their support requirements and the script produces a quote. No database is used.

So the important difference between static and dynamic is not whether there is a database or not. It is whether the page allows the user to enter something in order to produce a result. If it does, it is dynamic, if it doesn't, it is not. SImples :)

Hello,
First of all you must know what it means dynamic means automatic and static means manually you got it.
