Hi Folks,

I would appreciate very much for detail explanation on what CPA (Cost Per Action) and how does it work?

How does a person get paid by doing CPA?

On the other note, what are the few sites of CPA network and what do we do with it?
How do we actually generate a traffic?

I have a lot more questions but I would like to have the basic knowledge of CPA.

CPA it means cost per action ... it mean that u need to came up with visitor who will need to fill a form or download program or buy something .. anyway this visitor need to do an action so u can get paid

So once we sign up with CPA Network (eg: Peerfly, CPALead, AdWorkMedia, etc.) what is the next action?

When we register in CPA Network, do we register as Publisher or Affiliate?
Where do one generally get traffic?

Once you have signed up to a network (Pick a few and get accepted by atleast one), you need an offer to promote, so that would depend on what niche you have experience in or what interests you. You yourself would register as an Publisher, as you are not paying to promote a product as a Advertiser.

There are so many different forms of traffic generation, i'm not even going to go into it here, but there are plenty of resources on this forum and by doing a simple google search.

Best of luck,

Cheers. Kane.

So in summary, join a CPA network, sign up as publisher than select 1 offer and promote the offer.

That's all???

As in the source of traffic...it's secret since it is the main source of income hence, it can't be expose to newbie like me....

That's the basic gist of it, Traffic sources vary in many different ways, and one type of traffic source will not work well with all types of offers.

(For example, you put up a Finance Blog and collect Opt-In user data (ie with Aweber or some other type of contact management system)) and then send them Diet Type Offers you won't get the type of response you are looking for. You'll want to target your audience to the particular offer you are pushing. And it doesn't have to be one offer or one type of offer. Say you have a Dating Blog, Finance Blog, and Freebie Blog) you can market to each list different types of offers within that category, and usually do well with it.

The main thing you can do right now as a 'newbie', is read and digest and ask questions in a forum like this and take in as much information as possible. Also don't be afraid of failure, all of us here that are successful and have been doing this for a long time, have more failures on our records then successes... The main thing is to Learn from your mistakes, analyze what went wrong and figure out how to fix it.

Blogging or Lead Capturing is one form to build a email list.
a second way could be Media Buying or Paid For Ads (ie. Facebook, Bing, Traffic Vance...etc) There are several sections in this forum that describe and list all the different media buying sources.

Now with this, you'll need some bank roll to get started, also Rule #1 is never invest more money into a campaign then you are willing to lose. Always expect every campaign to fail and budget your campaign accordingly. Doing so will prevent you from dumping way too much money into a campaign. Start off small and work your way up. (Shoot for 100 clicks, or 1000 clicks at a time) look at your results.... If you got some conversions and the margins look favorable and you are in the green (profitable), dump a little more money into it and see if it was a fluke or you stumbled onto a great combination of traffic source and offer. If you repeat those same results or better, then you can open the flood gates and go full force, and always remember Rule #1.

There are many many different ways to generate traffic, and this forum pretty much covers most of them fairly well. If you see a source you are interested in, ask in that section your questions and learn from all the others that came before you.
