What is a good conversation rate for adwords

Hi all,

I recently got hold of a google adwords coupon for cheap and so thought that I would give it ago. The total amount I spent on adwords was £70.

I am unable to tell the total amount of sales that this may have generated as I have very good search engine rankings for my keywords. But I do not actually believe that I got back what I had spent.

Can anyone please confirm what would be a good ratio for spend\sales as within the industry that I am targeting, the average click price for the top spot is 65p, which is quite a lot considering the items only sell for £6 on average.

This is mainly based on the industry, website layout, and price.
2% is normal for most but if you really work on your website you can get 5% - 20% depending on the industry.
