User search syntax study

Hi all

I'm looking for a white paper, article, book or anything that has research and data into Search Engine user syntax patterns.

For example, some people type in questions to SEs, some type URLs etc etc.

I'm very interested in finding out more about user behaviour in Search Engines, in terms of what they type, syntax and semantics.

Anyone know where any information can be found?
