Twitter closed share count Api already?

Read previously Twitter wanted to disable the API responsible for counting twitter tweets.

Has it happened already? Got zero tweet counts on my blog buttons here.

This is just another interesting angle to the subject. For bigger fish than I. Twitter analytics is plenty for me at this point.
