starting a marketing campaign before you have the product on the shelves

Hello,

My name is Mara and I am a student in Marketing. I have analized a case study on Furby in Spain. Sanchis Comunicacion had deceided to start the campaign although they didn?t have the product in the shops.

Please, can somebody give me another examples of products advertised long before being in the shops?
