Question about country specific domain names

Hi guys,

Just wondering if you can help me out with a domain name question, I currently own 2 domain names exactly the same except one ends with .com the other with .com.au

As I want to target the Australian market, from a search engine point of view would I be better off going with the .com.au domain or does it make no difference at all?

Go with the .com.au and make sure you host it on an aussie server - I use jumba.com.au - both the server location and the domain extension are taken into account for SEO.

Another good reason to go with the .com.au is because Aussies trust the .com.au extension more than .com so you will get a better CTR from search and PPC generally.

yeah I agree, go with the .com.au for targeting Australia. It's like as if it's home made.
