Outgoing links on my site

I currently have 20+ outgoing links on my site but the reports says I only have 3. Why is that?

How old are these links? It may take time until you'll see them in the stats.

Another possible reason might be, you have 17+ links outbound to not ranked sites (PR n/a).

Google e.g. doesn't note links to and from such sites.
(This is at least what my analysis tools show me.)

The links are 2-3 weeks old.

I see, these links are from the link trading platform and I think most of them are not ranked.

Yup, a wiki link is always good. But one is enough.

You don't need 20 outbound links, backlinks are the important part.

back links are an important part but in my opinion as Google and other search engines progress through time they will put less of a weight on back links and focus primarily on content. I recently took part in some seminars at affiliate summit and this is one of the things that was hounded on over and over

If any of you have the opportunity to take part in affiliate summit it is highly recommended not only for the networking, but also the insight you can gain
