It obvious that things are getting real harder this day with regard to doing search engine optimization. Article submission was one the most widely used SEO technique to build links. Now, it has lost its effectiveness due to abuse and spammy tactics.

I watched his many videos that discourage paid links and explain difference between yahoo directory and other paid directories. This morning I decided to go for paid links but after watching his video I will only pay for Yahoo directory and will reject others.

i think that matt cutts is oversaying something (or not saying full truth) in that video. Of course they say something according treir strategy, but it doesn't mean that it happens. Especially talking about non english content sites, non english backlinks and so on.
