Intel has posted its updated price for the quad-core processors and it seems that new prices are up to 50% less than the old ones.
The Core 2 Quad Q6700 running at 2.66 GHz clock drops down from $530 to $266, the Celeron 430 at 1.80GHz dropped from $44 to $43 and the dual-core Celeron E1200 at 1.60GHz dropped from $53 to $43.
The dual-core Xeon 3085 server at 3GHz has a 29% price cut, from $266 and $188.
Intel also introduced 2 new chips for Celeron and Core 2 Duo families:
1.dual-core Celeron E1400 at 2GHz and Celeron 570 at 2.66GHz with prices from $53 for the first one and $134 for the second one.
2.Core 2 Duo E8300 at 2.83GHz with 6MB of L2 cache at $163 and E7200 at 2.53GHz with 3MB cache at $133.
