How to install Wordpress Themes
This guide will talk you through how to easily install essential Wordpress Themes.
Firstly you will need to install Wordpress following our guide.
Wordpress Themes
Wordpress themes are basically website designs you can either buy or install for free onto your Wordpress site. These designs can be fully customised and changed whenever you like. It is highly recommended to add a custom theme to your Wordpress site so that you can look unique and professional. There are several ways to install a new theme, one via finding themes in the Wordpress admin panel and another externally finding them.
Install finding via wp-login.php
Ok so Wordpress has some amazing features in the admin control panel and one is where you can easily search and install themes for your blog. Simply login to your Wordpress admin panel via YOURDOMAIN.com/wp-login.php. Once logged in scroll down the side bar and click > Appearance > Themes > Install Themes
You should now be faced with a panel where you can effortlessly browse free themes via category.
Search through the themes until your find one that suits your niche and site. Click > Install > Install Now and then on the next screen click > Activate. Now your new theme should be installed when you refresh your homepage.
Install finding via external site
You can also find Wordpress designs on external sites such as Wordpress theme base and others. Search google and find your perfect free Wordpress theme and download the .Zip file. Make sure you keep the file as a .Zip and do not extract it. Simply login to your Wordpress admin panel via YOURDOMAIN.com/wp-login.php. Once logged in scroll down the side bar and click > Appearance > Themes > Install Themes.
This time you will need to click > Upload
Select the .Zip file you saved earlier and click > Install Now > Activate. Now your new theme should be installed when you refresh your homepage.
