Hi people,

I've just now joined the forum, although I first heard about it over a year ago via Jason Westwick's CPA Mastermind interviews. At the time my head was on other things - SEO, blogging and Adsense mainly.

I've been dabbling in IM for 2 or 3 years without too much success. I was introduced to IM by a conman who encouraged me (and quite a few others) to pay several $1000s for coaching. There were various problems with that - first, I was taught too much kindergarten-level broad IM knowledge, and secondly, all the detailed tactics were loopholes with no real long term strategies.

So I really needed to forget everything I was taught and start again - which is not easy. That opportunity came a couple of months ago with the Big G's EMD penalty that wiped out most of my organic traffic and about half my online income.

So here I am - re-imagining my online business as if search engines are non-existant. I've now started to focus on listbuilding (something that I neglected - duh) and am looking at CPA - wondering if I can incorporate the two in a seamless fashion. (Any words of advice welcomed at this point.)

I'm not sure how much time I'll spend on the forum, but I'm willing to learn and implement fresh things. Thanks for listening :)

Don't get me wrong - search engines are a part of the internet in the same way mistletoe is part of an apple tree. But I can choose to pick mistletoe or choose to pick apples.

I was referring previously to traffic methods - my business was focused on SEO to the exclusion of everything else, and it has proven to be unreliable in the long term. There are many other sources of traffic outside of google. If CPA relies on google then I'll have to escort myself to the door. I'm exploring other options right now.

Cheers.
