Well to start of im a Kiwi born and raised in New Zealand, My first experience making money online was at 13 with Hotfile? where they paid like 3$ per 1k download lol then i found ppd :D
so at 14 i was then making around 300 a week which was freaking amazing at such a young age. This did go on for a few more years until i became more busy with school and what not.

Now at 20 i am starting back again but as times have changed methods die so im hoping i can learn from people here and get back with bigger plans and long term income!

I am currently interested in PPC for Affiliate Marketing and Free traffic (seo/video) for CPA at the moment! :D

I hope someone can help me get started i just spent 100$ on bing and 0 results lol horrible but im still learning, hope to make some friends also with similar interests!

Hi @Ying and welcome to the AffiliateFix! Great to have you join us.

Sounds to me as though you'll catch up in no time at all. However, keep in mind the industry has gone through a lot of changes oer the recent years.

I am certain you know much of the following information, but I like to to be thorough and and make sure everyone gets off to a good start.

Perseverance, dedication, and taking action are the cornerstones of the success you will obtain.

As a Newbie, you need to read, study, invest, and implement.

Read
Read through the various areas of the forum to learn about the types of marketing available for your new business. Make a list of all the types of marketing and take some notes along the way. Then determine which area of marketing with which you will start your journey.

Do this to select an area of marketing to start, as well, do this to select a tracker, a traffic source, and to select a vertical.

Then read up on the affiliate networks and select two to begin with that will serve your needs and the types of offers you would like to promote. Put your application in and they will call you for an interview. Be professional and be prepared to answer some questions about how you will promote offers, do you have a website, are you a Newbie, etc. Please note, if you join the Dojo, we have a thread there that can offer assistance in getting accepted to some of the networks.

Study
Now that you have selected a basis to begin, read all of the threads in this forum that relate to your initial selections so that you have a rudimentary understanding of their features and benefits.

Invest
You will require some investment. A VPS server, domains, traffic, landing pages, etc. You will need a budget for daily, weekly, and monthly expenses. This will change over time and you will need to update it often so that you know exactly what your costs and earnings are.

Implement
This is where it all starts to earn. You must now begin to implement what you have established as your foundation for your business.

Here is some advice and guidance that will help you establish your initial goals:

Make sure you complete the following first.

Every business needs:

1. a plan
2. a schedule for research, learning, and execution
3. a budget.

Remember to read through our WIKI and get to know the basics as well as some of the buzz words in the industry.

I also recommend reading the following thread:

As a Newbie, What Stops You From Getting Started

Here is a set of immediate goals:

1. Get a VPS
2. Select a vertical
3. Select a tracker
4. Select a couple of networks and get your approval
5. Select a traffic source
6. Create a schedule for researching, learning (training), and working. This is a business, treat it as such!
7. Create a budget for every expense (daily, weekly, monthly)
8. Be very active in this forum by researching, asking questions, helping others when you are able.

As well, I highly recommend you join the DOJO as it is full of great tools and contributions for successful marketers. Click the banner below to learn more.

Dam that is one of the most official responses i have seen to an intro thread,. I am currently studying more on seo to rank better and i do believe i should be making my first few sales in the next few days i am currently using one note to write down key notes on what i am studying and my plan

I do currently have a VPS but for what i do i may not use it as i have decided a more of a white hat method on seo.
Niche will be sorted

But for tracker what would you suggest for a tracker and how should i approach on utilizing it for what its worth.

Now the DOJO i am some what interested in it, i understand its like a premium section of the forum (but most forums offer this) what is the main difference compared to the rest and would you suggest it for a returning marketer.
Would like to hear some of its unique features

I am glad i found this forum

Most excellent!

The reason you want a VPS is so that your sites and pages won't be throttled out of bandwidth by another on a shared server. Always use at least a VPS at all times.

But for tracker what would you suggest for a tracker and how should i approach on utilizing it for what its worth.

Thrive, AdsBridge, and Voluum are all great trackers and are all represented in our Resources area. You need to use their individual trial periods to see which one best suits you.

Well, the AffKit Tools alone are worth the price of admission. In addition, Landing page Guys (owned and operated by this forums owners) has loaded up landing pages for everyone as well as LP's uploaded from several other sources and members, you'll receive help getting accepted into any of our represented networks, methods, case studies, and follow alongs on every aspect of our industry. Just do it, it will take you a year just to absorb and put to use what's already in there and much more is on the way.

I am glad i found this forum

We're happy you are here as well!
