Does anyone use these to generate some type of income?

It can be from referrals or just the surveys or clicking itself.

GPT is a pet peeve of mine because it's so dishonest. I consider it fraud really.

Advertisers are advertising for REAL potential customers. When you are getting paid to click or form fill you are ripping off the advertisers.

Think about it - if you were paying advertising dollars for what you thought were genuine leads but they were really just totally bogus get-paid-to-click leads you were paying for, how would you feel?

That's a good way of looking at it.

But It can still earn you a small income if done correctly.

Either way I see where your coming from.
