I've been using Google Webmaster Tools for quite a while and
I have to say they are a really great resource for the site
owner.

From finding the real link number to your site, to
what terms (and their SERP) people are using to find your site.

How many of you are using them?

I'm not, but I've been meaning to use it

I use it on most of the sites that I manage. The info that can be extracted is very revealing and shows me where to look in my server logs for interesting, unnusual or important paterns using include, exclude and tracking filters and to generate very targetted reports.

Adding a sitemap via Webmaster Tools to Google has to be one of the easiest ways to get indexed by Google.

I've taken a look around but never really used any, what you said there though makes me want to look more into it, ie; accurate backlinks count, terms people are using... where in the tools do you find both of those features?
