Whilst Google has untold billions this is far less than that of Microsoft.
Microsoft has technology and money in abundance to challenge Google and this is exactly what they are doing.

Eg. You have a website, I have a website. We compete. The internet is one big place and results are there for the taking. My objective for my website is to perform and get better SERPs and I try to climb higher in positioning than you are.

My keyword is patience. This I believe is massive in any website building itself up to challenge its rivals and take a slice of the search results.

I see this as being the same for the search engines themselves. Microsoft can afford to make mistakes. Remember this, Microsoft will not go away therefore they are a constant threat to Google and their share of the market.
