He's gonna be benefited just as if he was republshing PLR content or republishing articles from ezinearticles dot com or any of the article directories.

content is content... his idea is rather novel as he will be getting relatively unique content.

I hear all the time how duplicate content is supposed to be bad...
I re blog all the time (for my local blogs) and they perform as intended.

API wire and Reuters offers conventional news agencies content... and it's re published. All you gotta do is change the title and you get partial credit.

you can get credit for bringing said content out of a national arena to your local arena
