Finding PPV Targets

I'm using traffic vance but finding the traffic volume low. I guess I'm doing something wrong, low bids or low volume targets.

I use use skrayp to find urls to target and I always use the actual domain rather than the root. To find targets I do a search using the main keyword eg. Amazon gift card.

Am I doing anything wrong? Are root urls recommend to increase volume but sacrifice quality? Or should I use the actual URL with higher bids?

The same applies to keywords, I would use "Amazon gift card" but not "Amazon".

Can anyone offer any guidance to increase traffic?

It depends on the keyword and the bid. Try adding a few more generic keywords and see if the traffic increases.
If so, then it's just because you're targeting low volume keywords, but if it doesn't it might be the bid or something to ask to your manager.
