Does anyone take advantage of their email to advertise products and services, when they approve listings in their directories?

I do, I use it to advertise my other directories

I do also and I think it works. Not all people read the adverts but some do and it helps

Ditto, links to other sites do generate sales and is an opportunity that should not be missed.
Miss it and you lose easy sales and revenue.
