Hi All! I'm a newbie that is looking for answers to newbie questions. My name is Bill and currently I am chef on an oil rig in the Santa Barbara Channel off the coast of California. Unfortunately I live near Rochester, NY so the commute is a killer! I work 3 weeks on and 1 weekoff , which my new wife is not too happy about. I'm sure:cool:  that affiliate maketing wil be my ticket home!

Welcome to 5 Star, Bill.

It is great to have a chef as a member. We sometimes get away from the serious stuff by having discussions in The Break Room http://affiliate-marketing-forums.5staraffiliateprograms.com/breakroom-shoot-breeze/ Sometimes we talk about food. People have been known to make fun of the great food that I love. You might enjoy talking about your favorite dishes in that forum.

We have the perfect place for a person who is a newbie to affiliate marketing. It is our Newbie Affiliate Forum http://affiliate-marketing-forums.5staraffiliateprograms.com/newbie-affiliate-forum/ That would be a great place for you to read as much as you possibly can. Make sure you read the "Sticky" threads. They are loaded with information. That forum will help take away some of your confusion.

After that you should visit our Niche Marketing Forum to help you in niche selection http://affiliate-marketing-forums.5staraffiliateprograms.com/

You will probably have some questions after you have done some reading. Our members are knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. Ask questions whenever you have any.

I hope we can help you achieve your goal. It can be done. It will just take some work and time. We are here to help you.

Welcome Bill,

Sounds like your in the right place. An Oil Rig chef's salary will be tough to replace, but anything is possible. Keep us posted on your progress and best of luck.

Hi Bill and welcome. DIY Tech Glenn is right but just the fact that you have taken the time to search affiliate marketing on the Web and have joined the forum makes me think that you will pt a lot of your energy into changing that long commute. Like anything positive, it will take some time but it will be so worth it...:) Take care and all the best.

Well Said Jazz guy...

Yeah your right it all starts with a simple search on Google to get things rocking N rolling. I am self taught, and boy I remember the beginning days.

Good luck with what ever it is your promoting Bill...

Hi Bill,

Welcome to 5 Star. I'm normally part of the welcoming committee around here, but was out of town for a couple days. So belated welcome. I just replied to one of your posts with a lot of info that I hope will be helpful to you.
