Competition Analysis

Hello Fellas,
So I'm working on a new project. I did the some research, I found some interesting keywords, but I have one little problem: I don't know if I can rank for this keyword.
How do you guys do, to know if a keyword has potential to begin with? and how do you know that is it possible to outrank all the competitors?

Here's some details about my keyword:
-120 000 000 result on Google (that is high).
-22 200 search per month.
-"Keyword" has 23k results.
-"keyword" 33 has pages.
- intitle:"keyword" has 7k results.
-inurl:"keyword" has 4k results.

P.S. This keyword is for an Amazon niche site.
Thank you.

120 Million results with only 22,000 monthly searches...unless you got some killer SEO tactics up your sleeve the chances of you ranking naturally in a short amount of time is unlikely, especially if there is serious authority sites on the first page. For niche sites I try to find keywords with < 250,000 results and about 10 - 15k monthly searches. That seems to be a sweet spot.

Numbers higher than that tend to be too broad in scope to be considered niches IMO.

Try to drill down to a less competitive keyword.

I agree with Jaded Affiliate. Go for the low hanging fruit. Perhaps even go for the long-tail keywords that have hundreds of monthly searches. That's what I learned.
