Clicking 1 button opens 3 links in new tabs. Is this a legitimate technique?

Let's say you are an affiliate publisher with a sneaker shopping advice site and you want to provide a way for a user to click one button and see the selection of "Sneaker XYZ" on 3 different sites that you have affiliate relationships with, each site automatically opening up in a new tab. With javascript, you can do this. But is this kosher to do? Is this seen as a form of cookie stuffing or anything like that? Is this penalized by google? Blocked by ad blockers? Just curious to explore the idea. Thanks.

P.S. Just to add, in case anyone's having trouble envisioning this, you've probably run into it on sites like Kayak where you click on a fare and it automatically opens up Expedia and Orbitz and Hotwire etc.

popups/popunders are bad for seo
Opening a page with a referral link will set cookies if they are used today --'cookie stuffing' is opening a site without it's contents being shown. You are showing the contents --the referral could make a purchase.

You might lose your traffic because you are a pop-up hell. People react to pops by closing them without looking a lot. If the content of the pop (modal) is useful then it may work out.

I would prefer an AJAX/xhr GET of the current selling price for the query, from 2 or 3 vendors, on the page, with each having a link with you referral code.

But you would have to program this and the selling websites would need to give you an api to query. So, it probably can't happen.
