Hi everyone,

I have a niche website in promoting Software reviews, however I am not making money.

However this is the niche I want to be in. Whats the best way to earn money with software reviews?

Regards
Anthony

Make them legit reviews of the software and also include a video tutorial of the pro's and cons. Imagine you are the customer and your about to spend $xxx.xx on a software you would want to know the advantages and disadvantages along with seeing the difference between A and B and which is better. Don't hard sell it just use your own images as well and maybe make a comparison table and always stand out from the crowd that is how your review site will be different than the cheap wordpress site that has rehashed information.

@Mrearn is correct @ajrousek , these days the big G is on the lookout for spammy type review sites. They have been for over a year now. High quality with lots of original content is what will make it work. Also, the software(s) you are promoting can have an impact one way or the other also. make certain you are promoting properly for the software(s) niche you are in.

Hi Guys thanks for the feedback. I always make my reviews legit. was hoping for some feedback for my website at PC How to guide and Software Reviews - allpcstuff.com

Some people recommend to build a list so I am not supplying a direct affiliate link on my site, just an optin box for most of my reviews. I am not a really good talker so am not too keen on doing video reviews. I did one in the pass on youtube, not too keen on it lol

Then I often write weekly newsletters for my subscribers.

Any suggestions on this?

Thanks
Anthony

Okay, 2 points here:
1. Site Review
2. Videos

Site:
This site is reminding me of the conservative men from the Adman era. It's drab, too plain, no authoritative muscle in the graphics and colors or the fonts and the way the content is presented. Also, the content is not inspiring. No sizzle. Remember those famous words by Elmer Wheeler "Don't sell the steak, sell the sizzle"?

Videos:
You can easily make some cool videos using Power Point and Camtasia, or just Camtasia on it's own. Then to avoid having to use your own voice, go to Fiverr. There are loads of cheap voice over specialists there.

Also, don't be too salesy as you want it to be just a review and give them the option of affiliate link or no affiliate link. By doing this, you will rise in credibility and your readers will see "wow the guy is just making this to help me not make money off of me".

P.S Change the theme and fonts as tjtutor mentioned and don't have the subscribe box as that annoys a great deal of people just have the box somewhere in the end of the review or somewhere else.

HI @tjtutor thanks for the site feedback, What's the best way do you think I can change this?

Get a professionally designed and built site theme. I recommend Landing Page Guys! Discuss with them what goals you have for the site and what your budget is for having them redesign and implement the site.

Videos are extremely important, as mentioned above. You need to figure out a means by which you use videos in abundance and done well. Either by you or outsourced. Review sites without video are in the back of the pack. You must research your competitors and do what they are doing better.

The purpose of a review site is to have someone learn enough to make a decision to fulfill a task, like a click through and conversion. In order for people to learn, they will use three separate, but bound, methods to learn. People learn by hearing, seeing, and by touching. Anytime you remove (or limit) one of these, you limit the opportunity to have them perform in your funnel.
